Alternative Methods of Treatments other than Allopathic Treatment include

(a)- Homeopathy- "A system of therapeutics founded by Samuel Hahnemann(1755-1843),in which diseases are treated by drugs which are capable of producing in healthy persons symptoms like those of the diseases to be treated ,the drug being administered in minute doses."

(b)- Acupuncture-"The practice of piercing specific peripheral nerves with needles to relieve the discomfort associated with painful disorders ,to induce surgical anaesthesia, and for therapeutic purposes."

(c)- Acupressure-^Treatment of diseases by applying pressure on different acupuncture

points."

(d)- Moxibustion-" Treatment of diseases by cauterization by the burning ofmoxa upon the skin."

(e)- Magnetotherapy-" Treatment of diseases by magnets or by magnetism". Bio-magnetism is becoming very popular in advanced countries.

(f)- Laser Therapy-"A device which transforms light of various frequencies into an extremely intense small and nearly non divergent beam of monochromatic radiation in the visible region with all the waves in phase. Capable of mobilizing immense heat and power when focused at closed range ,it is used as a tool in surgical procedures, in diagnosis ,and in Physiologic studies."

(g)- Reflexo therapy "Treatment by irritation of any area of the body distant from the lesion".

(h)- Cosmetic Acupuncture-" Method of beautifying .tending to pressure ,restore,  by applying acupuncture needles on different sites of the body."

(i)- Homeopuncture-"Treatment of diseases by puncturing of acupuncture points after dipping the needle in a specific homeopathic remedy."

(j)- Fasting Therapy-"Treatment of Diseases by abstinence from food."

(k)- Hydrotherapy-"The application of water in any form, either internally or externally, in the treatment of diseases".

(l)- Yoga-"Yoga is not only a set of complicated body postures but also a system of self         treatment of different diseases".

Hypnosis: An artificially induced passive state in which there is increased amenability and responsiveness to suggestions and commands , provided that these do not conflict seriously with the subjects own conscious or unconscious wishes.

In clinical practice .many clinicians have seemed to reach a dead end where all the Allo pathic methods have failed, then, at that moment .the above mentioned alternative methods can complement the western methods of treatment.
