RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF SESSIONS
The Chairperson and Co-Chairperson will be introduced by the Members of the Presiding Panel
Duties of Presiding Officers and Speakers:-
*The Chairperson of each session shall ensure that the particular session commences and terminates exactly according to the time schedule laid out in the programme. The Chairperson shall briefly introduce each speaker from the bio-data supplied to him, by the speaker. At the end of each session when all papers have been read, he shall invite discussions on the topics and modulate the discussion which will take place. The Chairperson shall mount the podium at least 5 minutes before opening time and commence the session at the exact time.
The Co-Chairperson:-
(a) Shall ensure that time is equally distributed among the speakers. He shall announce
before the commencement of each speech the time allocated to the speaker.
(b) Make notes of the discussion carried out and hand over this record to the administrator of
the Hall.
(c) Shall take over the duties of the Chairman and/or the Rapporteur in their absence.
**The Rapporteurs:-
(a) Shall obtain a copy of each scientific paper to be read before the reading of such paper. All papers so collected should be handed over the Administrator of the respective Hall immediately before closing of each session. (No scientific paper may be read unless a copy as handed over to the Rapporteur).
(b) obtain the participation certificates of all the speakers at each session from the office and hand them over to the Chairman for distribution to the respective speakers before the formal closing of each session.
(c) Act as the time keeper of the session.
Are allowed the priviledge of asking the first question. to comment on important aspects of the paper presented to expose the presentation to fair criticisms. all criticisms should be of constructive nature.
The Administrator of the Hall will be present in each Hall during the session al all times. The slides and other materials for projection must be handed over to the Hall Administrator Hall an hour before each session
The Speaker:-
(a) Shall faithfully observe the time allocated to him or her.. (b) personally supervise before each session the loading of slides, films, video tapes etc.
and take delivery of same at the end of such presentation.
(c) hand over a copy of the final draft of the speech at the commencement of the respective
session to the Rapporteur.
(d) No political, ethnic or religious matters may be discussed.
The Recorders :- shall record faithfully all discussions carried out on the papers and hand over the report with their comments to the Hall Administrator.
At Discussion time the questions may be asked orally or tendered in writing to the rapporteur. When oral questions are asked, the questioner shall speak into the nearest available microphone and first state the name, status and country before proceeding to ask the question. No delegate will be entitled to ask more than two questions. The Chairman may disallow any questions or terminate a discussion without giving any reasons to the House. All written questions, not answered on the floor of the House, could be answered in writing by the respective speakers and the answers handed over to the questioner at the end of the day, either directly, or though the Administrator of the Hall. No questions may be of a personal or political nature.

A person not listed on the schedule of speakers will not be permitted to make a presentation, unless permission is obtained in writing from the Chief Administrator of the Congress. Papers submitted late may be presented with the permission of the Chief Administrative Secretary. (A hall fee will be payable).
Projection of Transparencies :- Transparency slides should be mounted by the speaker on the carousels supplied by the projectionist. The Speaker should take delivery of the slides and allied materials immediately at the end presentation. No responsibility is taken by the organizers for damage or loss.
Canvassing :-No canvassing in any form is allowed: (a) to join societies or associations: (b) to promote Congress, teaching sessions; (c) to promote any trade union, religious or political activity; (d) to sell or advertise any unauthorized material; (e) to organize any demonstrations or sessions, other than those listed in the
program or approved by the chief Administrator;
(f) to grant any unauthorized diploma or certificates. Failure to observe above may
result in the delegate's badge being cancelled.
(G) no fees may be charged for any therapy administered during congress.
Note : ALL DELEGATES AND SPOUSES ARE REQUESTED TO WEAR THEIR
NAME BADGES AT ALL SESSIONS & SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
Extra time may be allowed at the discretion of the Chairman, if so requested Parallel session or workshops may be arranged on delegate's request.

Delegates are respectfully requested
(1) to wear clinical cloths to hospital which are available at the counter at Lucky
tailors, Kalubowila.
(2) To wear delegate badges at all functions. This is provided at the registration
desk.
(3) University Convocation Gown (Cloak & Cap) at all formal functions.
(4) All Meals, decorations to be worn at Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
(5) Meals will be provided at concession prices to all delegates at Medicina Alternativa Hotels, beach Road. Mount Lavinia. Delegates and Spouses are invited to the swimming pool and Beach Restaurant.
