THESIS DETAILS

In relation to the OIUCM certification, the doctor is requested to submit thesis on his/her recent research which gives him/her an opportunity to systematically and clearly demonstrate to the University the doctoral level course work requirements. Also the thesis would provide him/her the possibility of making creative and viable suggestions for further research on the subject he/she choose as his/her topic.

The assessment of his/her work will be based upon the demonstration that he/she has shown an adequate level of competence in the research conducted to meet the requirements of the Degree.

The research based thesis for post graduation is invariably required as a precondition for post graduation. The research work should be in conformity with institutional mission and objectives and manifests the students competence in research.

The student enrolled for OIUCM course is required to prepare a thesis proposal. After the approval of the thesis proposal, the student conducts his own research and prepares a thesis. The research of candidate undergoes thorough checking by our scientific evaluators, so that the course specific thesis fulfils the standards of OIUCM senate and board of assessors for final approval. Copies of thesis are submitted to “The Open International University, Colombo”, & to Candidate (with certificate of final approval).

Thesis is submitted in fulfillment of pre-requisite and as part of a curricular exercise towards the accomplishment of the qualification. Thesis may be rejected which does not fulfill the standard requirements.
